Santhana Gopala Puja
Santhana Gopal Puja is done for the timely birth of healthy offspring.
Why is it done?
Delay in having children is attributed to Putra Dosa. By doing the puja, the negative effects of the Putra Dosa is removed and the wife will conceive without delay. The puja also blesses the individuals with obedient, intelligent and healthy children.
Things to be taken care of
The puja should be done in accordance with the Vedic Jyothish, otherwise desired results will not be obtained. One has to abstain from intoxicants and meat during the puja period. The individual should maintain chastity and a calm mind. He should get up early in the morning, take a bath and pray to Goddess Parvati and Lord Ganesha.
