You can observe that men usually suffer from a specific set of diseases, while women suffer from a different set. Some afflictions are suffered by both men and women alike, such as asthma, skin diseases, allergies, headache, vision problems, hearing problems, stomach disorders, sexual problems, and obesity. Ailments common among men are related to the heart, brain, liver, and sexual organs. Diabetes: When Jupiter, Venus, and Saturn are connected with the 6th Bhava, diabetes may happen. When the above planets are connected with malefic planets, one may get diabetes. Jupiter and Venus conjunction in watery signs (Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces) also may result in diabetes. Cancer: Sun and Jupiter in close conjunction may result in Cancer. Here, Jupiter indicates cells. Breast Cancer: When Moon and the 4th Bhava are afflicted by Rahu, Ketu, and Saturn, one may get breast cancer. Jupiter and Sun conjunction in 4th or 10th Bhava may also result in this type of cancer. Skin Cancer: When Mercury and airy Rasis (Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius) get afflicted by malefic planets, this type of cancer may happen. Blood Cancer: When Mars gets afflicted by Rahu and Ketu, this type of Cancer may happen. Sun and Jupiter in close conjunction may result in this type of cancer. Throat Cancer: When Venus, Taurus Rasi, and 2nd Bhava get afflicted by malefic planets, this type of cancer may happen. Tongue Cancer: When Mercury is afflicted by malefic planets one may get this type of cancer. When 6th and 8th Bhava or their Lords get connected in any other way in the natal chart, this type of cancer may happen. Heart disease: When Cancer, Leo Rasis, 4th and 5th Bhavas, and Sun, Moon, and Saturn are afflicted by malefic planets, one may get heart-related diseases. When the above mentioned Rasis and Bhavas are connected with the 6th and 8th Bhavas or its Lords in any other manner in the natal chart, one may get heart-related diseases When Jupiter is afflicted in the Natal Chart one may get problems in heart muscles. When Saturn is afflicted in the natal chart one may suffer blocks in his/her heart. When Saturn is conjoined with Jupiter and Venus in the natal chart one may suffer blood clot problems in his heart. When Sun and Saturn are conjoined or are aspecting each other in the natal chart, then also one may get problems. Blood Pressure: All watery sign Rasis are Karaka for blood flow. The Bhavas responsible are 1st and 6th and the planets in connection are Mars and Moon. When watery Rasis are afflicted by malefic planets, one may suffer from blood pressure. Mars and Jupiter in conjunction or in connection indicate BP due to cholesterol. Mars and Moon in conjunction or in connection indicate BP due to stress and anxiety. Mars and Saturn in conjunction or in connection indicate blood pressure due to anxiety. Eye diseases: As per ‘Kalapurusha Thathwa’ the Karaka Rasis of eyes are Aries, Taurus, Pisces, and Karaka Bhavas for eyes are 1st, 2nd, and 12th. When these Bhavas are afflicted by malefic planets in the natal chart, one may get eye-related diseases. As Venus, Sun and Moon are Karaka planets for the eye those afflicted by malefic planets in the natal chart may cause eye-related diseases. Head diseases: As per Kalapurush Thatwa Aries Rasi is the Karaka for diseases of the head and, Bhava is Lagna. Mars and Sun are Karaka planets. When Aries Rasi or Lagna is afflicted by malefic planets in the natal chart, one may get diseases in the head, forehead, and related parts. If Mars and the Sun (Karaka planets for head and forehead) are afflicted by Saturn, Rahu and Ketu, the person may get problems in his/ her head, forehead, and related parts. Stomach related diseases: As per Kalapurusha Thathwa Karaka Rasis for the stomach are Leo and Virgo. Karaka Bhavas are the 5th and 6th Bhavas. Karaka planets are Jupiter and Moon. When Leo, Virgo, and 5th and 6th Bhavas are afflicted by malefic planets or are connected with malefic planets in the natal chart, one may get diseases related to their stomach. When Jupiter and Mars are afflicted or connected by malefic planets in a natal chart one may get stomach related diseases. Diseases in Liver: As per Kalapurusha Thathwa, Karaka Rasis for the liver are Virgo and Capricorn; Bhavas are 5th and 6th and the planet is Jupiter. When these Rasis and Bhavas are afflicted by malefic planets in a natal chart, one may get diseases in the liver. When Jupiter is afflicted by malefic planets, then also this type of disease may happen. Intestinal diseases: As per ‘Kalapurusha Thathwa’ Karaka Rasis for intestine are Leo and Virgo; Bhavas are 5th, 6th, and 8th; planets are Jupiter and Moon. Leo is Karaka for colon, Virgo is Karaka for small intestine and Scorpio is Karaka for the rectum. When these Rasis and Bhavas get afflicted by malefic planets in a natal chart, one may get intestinal diseases. If Jupiter and the Moon are afflicted by malefic planets, then one may get this type of disease. Infertility: As per ‘Kalapurusha Thathwa’ Karaka Rasis for childbirth are Cancer, Leo, and the Rasi in which the Moon stands; Karaka Bhavas are 5th and 11th, and the Karaka planets are Jupiter and Sun. When Cancer, Leo, and Rasis in which the Moon stands are afflicted by malefic planets in a natal chart, one may have problems with infertility. Miscarriage: When the 8th and 12th Bhavas and the planets sitting in these Bhavas are afflicted by Saturn, Rahu, and Ketu in a natal chart, one may suffer a miscarriage. Baby through sperm donation: If Sun and Saturn are positioned in a natal chart without any direct connection but connected by a planet by way of aspecting both Sun and Saturn, one may get a baby through sperm donation. Test tube baby: According to medical astrology, when Sun and Saturn are in conjunction or are aspecting each other, it may cause one to get a test tube baby. When Sun and Saturn are influenced by Rahu and Ketu in the natal chart, one may get a test tube baby. Uterine dysfunction: Karaka Rasi for uterus is Scorpio and all watery signs. Bhavas are 7th and 8th. Karaka planets are the Moon and Venus. Scorpio Rasi and watery signs afflicted by malefic planets in a natal chart mean one can get this type of problem. When the Moon and Venus are afflicted by Saturn and Rahu, Ketu in a natal chart, it can also lead to uterine dysfunction. Kidney related problems: Karaka Rasis for kidney are Libra and Scorpio; Bhavas are 7th and 8th and Karaka planets are the Moon, Venus, and Rahu. Libra and Scorpio or 7th and 8th Bhavas connected with 6th Bhava in a natal chart can cause one to get kidney related problems. Hernia: Karaka Rasis for this is Libra, Scorpio, and Cancer. Karaka Bhavas are 7th and 8th. Karaka’s planet is the Moon. When the 6th Lord of the natal chart sits in the Libra Rasi or Kochara malefic planet transit in the Libra or Scorpio house in a Natal chart, one may get the Hernia problem. ENT: :Ears: When Karaka Rasi for the ear – Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius – and the 3rd Bhava get afflicted by a malefic planet one may get ear diseases. As Guru and Ketu are Karaka planets for ear diseases if they get afflicted by malefic planets, then also one may get diseases in the ears. Throat: The Karaka Rasi for the throat is Gemini, 3rd Bhava, and the planets Mercury and Venus. If they get afflicted by malefic planets or get connected with the 6th House and its Lord, one may get diseases in the throat. Nose: The Karaka Rasis for the nose are Aries and Taurus; Bhavas are 2nd and 3rd; and planets are Mercury, Venus, and Ketu. When Aries and Taurus and 2nd and 3rd Bhava get afflicted by malefic planets one may get diseases in the nose. Mercury, Venus, and Ketu when afflicted by malefic planets also result in diseases in the nose. Speech Disorder: Karaka Rasis for speech flow are Taurus and Gemini. Bhava is Second and the planets are Mercury and Venus. Taurus and Gemini and second Bhava afflicted by malefic planets may result in one getting speech disorder. Mercury and Venus when afflicted by malefic planets, or are connected with the 6th, 8th, and 12th whose Lords are afflicted; may get the speech flow affected. Dumb: All Rasis and Lagnas are Karaka for Dumb. The second and 7th Bhavas and the Moon and Mercury are Karaka for Dumb. When 2nd and 7th Bhava and the Moon and Mercury are afflicted by malefic planets and connected with the 6th House or its Lord one becomes dumb. Dental Problem: Karaka Rasi for the tooth is Aries; Karaka planet is Mars and Bhava is 2nd. When Aries Rasi, 2nd Bhava, and Mars are afflicted by malefic planets one may get dental problems. Mental Illness: Karaka Bhavas for the mind are the 1st and 5th. The planet is the Moon. When the Moon is afflicted by malefic planets like Rahu, Ketu, and Saturn, one may get mental illness. If the 5th House happens to be the Moon or Mercury’s House, one may get mental illness. The 5th and Lagna Bhavas afflicted by malefic planets may also result in mental illness. Mercury indicates the lack of intellectual independence; the Moon indicates mental illness and Saturn indicates mental stress due to worries. Rahu and Ketu indicate depression due to fear and doubts. Heart diseases: According to medical astrology, karaka rasis for the heart is Cancer and Leo. Bhavas are 4th and 5th. And the Karaka planets are the Sun, the Moon, and Saturn. When the Cancer and Leo Rasis and 4th and 5th Bhavas get afflicted by malefic planets one gets heart diseases. When the Sun, the Moon, and Saturn are connected with the 6, 8, and 12th Lords, then also heart-related diseases may result. When Jupiter is afflicted in the natal chart, one may get problems in heart muscles. When Saturn is afflicted in the natal chart one may get blocks in the heart. When Saturn is conjunct with Jupiter and Venus it indicates a blood clot in the heart. When the Sun and Saturn are conjunct or are aspecting each other then also problems may happen in the heart. Thyroid problem: Karaka Rasis for thyroid glands are Taurus and Scorpio. Bhavas are 2nd and 8th. Planets are the Moon and Venus. When Taurus, Scorpio Rasis, and 2nd and 8th Bhavas are afflicted by malefic planets, one may get thyroid problems. If the Moon and Venus are afflicted by malefic planets then also this type of problem may result. Tuberculosis (TB): Karaka Rasis for lungs are Gemini and Cancer. Bhavas are 3rd and 4th. Planets are Saturn, Mercury, Rahu, and Ketu. When Rahu and Ketu sit in Mercury’s House and that House is 1, 5, and 9 from Chandra Rasi, it may cause Tuberculosis. When the Moon and Mars are connected or are aspecting each other then also this problem may arise. When Rahu, Ketu, and Mercury sit in airy Rasis like Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius it means breathing trouble. The 6th Lord connected with the 3rd House also results in lung-related problems. Rheumatism: Karaka Rasis for this are Aries and airy Rasis. Bhava is Lagna and planets are Mars, Mercury, and Saturn. When Aries and Lagna are connected with Saturn this problem will occur. When Saturn is strong in the natal chart this problem will not affect the person. When Jupiter is connected with the 6th House Rheumatism problem will occur. The above rules are mainly to assess the diseases in one’s natal chart. It may vary from horoscope to horoscope due to the strength of the planets and their placement. These rules are straight rules from medical astrology and cannot be taken for granted. It can be arrived at by taking other aspects in any particular horoscope.
