Influence of Super Moon
Super Moon, the phenomenon called Moon Perigee, happens when the Moon reaches its closest to Earth. On March 19, Moon will be only 221567 miles (356577 kms) away from our planet. Usually the distance of moon's path from Earth is about 235000 miles. This time it deviates almost 13000 Miles closer to the Earth. The moon will appear at least 14% larger than its usual size and would be brighter by about 30%. The last time it appeared so close to Earth was in 1992. Moon is the closest celestial body to Earth and is also its satellite. When it comes close, it causes water, light weight objects and air to move towards it due to its force of attraction.
This is very common, but, this time the moon comes too close to Earth and might cause some natural disasters or even geographical changes on Earth. Scientists have differing opinions about this phenomenon but history points towards occurrence of natural disasters. Scientists argue that, there won't be any volcanic eruptions or earthquakes, but, they do agree to the fact that the inner process of a volcano (tectonic activity) increases during this period. Fishermen generally do not prefer to go into the sea on a full moon day as they know that there will be high tides. But during or before this Super Moon Day, world has witnessed severe mishaps before.
Heavy rains and hurricanes were experienced during the Super Moon Effect in 1935 and 1958; Australia experienced heavy rains and tornados during Super Moon days in 1974. In 2005, tsunami killed thousands which happened just a week before the Super Moon days. This time, again there was Tsunami in Japan killing thousands and destructing their nuclear plants causing nuclear radiation. Even scientists are not able to explain and nobody believes that it may be restricted to Japan only. Astrologically, the Super Moon effect of 2011 is disastrous.
